Terrain Tools

Tools run on the map you're viewing: position the map first, then open Tools from the map controls and pick one. Active tools stack as chips in the tool dock, so you can combine — say — a viewshed with range rings.

visibility

Viewshed

Computes visible vs. hidden terrain from the map center using elevation data — 30 m precision where available (North America, Europe, Japan, NZ), otherwise 90 m. Free up to a 5 km radius; Pro extends to 20 km. Use it to pick an OP, plan a radio relay or scout a glassing point.

Line of Sight

Terrain profile and visibility between two points: center the crosshair on the observer, confirm, then on the target. The visibility verdict is free; the full elevation graph is Pro.

terrain shading

Slope Angle PRO

Shades the visible terrain by steepness (27°+ highlighted) for go/no-go decisions and avalanche awareness.

Contour Lines PRO

Elevation contour lines over any base map — satellite included. Computed on-device; works offline once elevation data is downloaded.

range & measurement

Range Rings

Concentric distance rings around the map center — weapon ranges, radio range, time-distance planning.

Measure Distance / Area / Circle

Live distance along a path, area and perimeter of a polygon, or radius and area of a circle. Ephemeral — nothing is saved.
